What to See & Do in Cincinnati

There is no shortage of attractions and activities in the Cincinnati area.  You will find museums, theme parks, amusement parks, water parks, and go kart racing to get your heart pounding with excitement.  Some of the other great family activities include the Newport Aquarium, Cincinnati Zoo and The Dude Ranch where you can go horse back riding and participate in a cattle drive.  With all Cincinnati offers you should plan to spend a little extra time to fit it all in.
Attractions & Activities
Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens - Wings of the World, Jungle Trails, our renovated bird house and lush, tropical rainforest exhibit. Coney Island.- Swim at Sunlite Pool, the world's largest recirculating pool, Zoom Flume waterbogan, Pipeline Plunge tube water slide. The Dude Ranch - Spend a few hours or the whole day at the Ranch. Saddle up and take a 1 1/2 hour scenic trail ride with or without a Western Cattle Drive. You'll journey through heavily wooded trails and venture across gently rolling meadows. After riding, spend the rest of the day enjoying the ranch and all of our activities including: on-going fun filled hayrides, horseshoes, marshmallow roasts and mingle with the animals in our petting zoo. Then, learn how to rope a steer and if you want to go fishing, bring your pole (or you can rent one there) and spend some time testing your luck in our stocked lake. Envirotrek Go Karting - Our indoor course consists of (6) six hairpin turns, (3) three S-turns, which allow passing opportunities for drivers, and a few hard, fast 90's. All of this packed into 800 ft. of challenging track. While racing at Envirotrek you will enter the trek at the Grand Canyon, then transition into the mountains of North America before entering the storm. Don't worry, the storm will pass before you hit the beach and return to the city. Envirotrek gets its name from the fact that electronic go-karts are emission free, very quiet and environmentally friendly. The trek is the environmental journey. Our chassis are made of the highest quality chrome molly alloy and built to handle a challenging track. Newport Aquarium - Oceanic Adventures Newport Aquarium opened in May 1999 and quickly became on of the country's most amazing attractions. You'll not only journey through the three-fourths of the world covered by water, you'll be enchanted by each and every one of the mysteries waiting to be discovered in our 60 exhibits.  Open 365 days a year, we'll introduce you to over 11,000 dangerous, bizarre and beautiful creatures. Paramount's Kings Island - Just off of I-71, 24 miles north of Cincinnati. The Midwest's largest and most popular theme park with over 300 rides and attractions plus a 30-acre water park., WaterWorks, that is free with park admission. World record thrills, including 12 roller coasters, tying a Guinness World Record for the most coasters at any park on earth! New for 1999: Face/Off, the Midwest's only 5G face-to-face inverted roller coaster and DROP ZONE, at 315 feet, the world's tallest gyro drop. Both are in the Paramount Action Zone, a newly-themed area at Paramount's Kings Island that looks and feels like a Hollywood movie studio backlot come-to-life. Home of The Beast, 20 years strong as the world's longest wooden roller coaster. Nine fantastic shows entertain and delight all ages, while Nickelodeon Splat City, where the world famous Rugrats appear daily, and newly expanded Hanna-Barbera Land with Scooby, Yogi and their friends. The Beach Waterpark - 2590 Waterpark Dr., Mason, OH, 45040; 513/398-2040. Just off I-71 at exit 25, approximately 30 minutes from Cincinnati or Dayton. The Beach is 35 acres filled with 2 million gallons of water fun, 40,000 square feet of white sand, and more than 40 rides and attractions. And don't forget the little squirts! Watch them splash and play in Splash Mountain and Jolly Mon' Shores with attractions geared just for kids. The Beach is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend and selected weekends in May and September.
